Icon Energy converts panamax charter to fixed-rate

Executive Summary

Nasdaq-listed Greek bulker owner Icon Energy has switched another one of its vessels from index-linked to a fixed-rate charter. The 2006 Japanese-built 77,326 dwt panamax bulker Alfa is time-chartered to what the company describes as an international commodity trading conglomerate for an indefinite period. The deal can expire upon a three-month notice by either party, but not earlier than July 2026. Under this charter, the vessel is earning hire at a floating daily rate linked to the Baltic Panam
