India's Strategic Position

Goyal highlighted that the world is increasingly seeing India as a credible alternative for manufacturing and a trusted partner. He noted that India's growth is rooted in scale and long-term opportunity, projecting it as the world's fastest-growing economy for the next two decades.

  • Hyundai and JCB were cited as examples of companies that have successfully expanded their operations in India.
  • The government has implemented reforms to improve the ease of doing business, including the decriminalization of nearly a thousand offenses through the Jan Vishwas Act.

Government Reforms

The Indian government is actively working to enhance the business environment. Goyal stated, "We decriminalised nearly a thousand offenses," reflecting a government mindset that trusts businesses.

"India is not merely a market and it is a growing large market. India will be your base," Goyal asserted.

Opportunities for MNCs

Goyal urged multinational corporations to engage with India as a co-creator of value. He stressed that India offers opportunities not only for assembly but also for innovation and design.
