Markets Rise to 10-Week High as Easing Crude and Strong Banking Update Fuel Rally

Indian equity benchmarks rose to a 10-week high on Monday, driven by a sharp rally in HDFC Bank after a strong quarterly business update and a decline in crude oil prices. The Nifty and Sensex each gained 0.7% to close at 24,430 and 78,285 respectively, rising 2.4% in four sessions. Lower oil prices due to easing West Asia tensions also supported broader sentiment.
