Activated carbon exporters face banking curbs in shipping to Russia, Sudan
Indian activated carbon exporters are facing fresh banking curbs on shipments to Russia and Sudan, with lenders citing EU sanctions and enhanced compliance requirements, according to businessline. Joshy Joseph of the Activated Carbon Manufacturers Association of India said banks have issued letters prohibiting Russian transactions and restricted Sudan trade. The industry has flagged that no RBI, DGFT or Customs notification prohibits these exports.
