Massachusetts Pilot Tests Electric Vehicles as Grid Batteries for Demand Response
A coalition of utilities and technology companies including Eversource, National Grid, EnergyHub, Sunrun, and the Mobility House has launched a pilot program in Massachusetts that allows electric vehicle owners to send energy back to the grid during peak demand events. The vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology aims to improve grid reliability, integrate renewable energy, and create a new revenue stream for drivers.
