The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the National Investment Policy for Urea-2026, aiming to establish eight new urea plants and generate an additional 10 million tonnes of output. The policy, open to public, private, and cooperative sectors, is projected to attract up to ₹90,000 crore in investment. India currently imports about 10 mt of urea against domestic production of 30 mt and demand of 40 mt.
Logistics Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2A: Cabinet Approves Rs 2,169-Crore Airport Corridor
The Union Cabinet has approved Phase 2A of the Ahmedabad Metro, a 6.032-km corridor connecting Koteshwar Road to Ahmedabad Airport at a cost of Rs 2,169.04 crore. The project includes five stations and is expected to improve connectivity between the airport and the city. The expanded network will span 77.63 km across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
