Logistics Global Steel Wire seeks fresh Santander terminal concession
Global Steel Wire, a Celsa group company, has applied for a new five-year concession for its steel-handling terminal at the Port of Santander. The application covers 11,700 sq m of land and 171.25 m of berth frontage, with Santander Port Authority opening a one-month competition period. The terminal handled 173,755 tonnes in 2023.
Logistics DP World signs 50-year concession for two Fujairah terminals, adding 2.5m TEU capacity
DP World has signed a 50-year concession with Fujairah Ports Authority to develop two new terminals on the UAE's east coast. The Al Rugaylat container terminal will add 2.5m TEU capacity, while the Dibba general cargo terminal will add 3.6m tonnes of capacity. The deal lifts DP World's total UAE container capacity to nearly 22m TEU.
Logistics COSCO-Led Consortium Wins Terminal Award at Port of Tarragona in Spain
A COSCO Shipping Ports-led consortium has received an award notification from the Port Authority of Tarragona for a new multipurpose terminal in Spain, valued at around €144.6 million. The consortium includes COSCO Shipping Ports, COSCO Shipping Bulk, and PTP Ibérica. The terminal, located at the Andalucía Wharf area, will cover more than 510,000 sq m and handle containers, general cargo, vehicles, roro traffic, and rail-borne cargo. The award is conditional on final regulatory procedures and concession signing.
