Fertiliser Vessels Stuck at Indian Ports Raise Supply Fears for Peak Kharif Sowing
Two fertiliser vessels carrying DAP and urea have been waiting for berth at Kandla Port since July 14, delaying distribution ahead of India's kharif sowing season. Port congestion, limited railway rakes, and supply chain disruptions from the West Asia crisis are blamed. While urea supplies remain comfortable, DAP availability is tight due to constrained global ammonia and sulphur supplies.
