Manufacturing Charity rebrands more than 1,000 surplus garments a year to save them from landfill
Swindon-based clothing charity Dressability alters and redistributes more than 1,000 branded garments a year, saving new coats, fleeces and other apparel from landfill. The project, launched after a delivery of coats from a company that ceased trading, now supplies organisations in Liverpool and Ukraine, with surplus garments sourced from Osnic Embroidery.
Business Shropshire School Uniform Charity Plans Fundraising Week Amid Rising Costs
Little Stars, a Shropshire school uniform charity founded by Leanne Farlie, will hold its annual fundraising week from 22-28 June. The charity highlights the average secondary school uniform cost of £289 and has supplied over 900 children since 2023. Last year 12 businesses and schools participated.
