English language proficiency joins top five Roadcheck driver OOS violations as CVSA releases 2026 data
English language proficiency entered the top five driver out-of-service (OOS) violation categories in the 2026 International Roadcheck, accounting for 361 OOS orders or 9.1% of the total, according to CVSA data reported by FreightWaves. No-medical-card violations more than doubled to 1,072 (27%), while hours-of-service violations fell to 929 (23.4%). Vehicle-related OOS top five remained unchanged with brake systems leading at 3,379 violations.
