Business Housing Sales Fall 6% in Major Indian Cities Amid Price Rise and Subdued Demand

India to Launch Services Production Index on July 14, Excluding Health and Education
India will debut the Index of Services Production (ISP) on July 14, 2026, providing a high-frequency indicator for the services sector. The index covers nearly two-thirds of services GVA but excludes health, education, informal services, and non-market services. A NITI Aayog panel led by Debjani Ghosh recommended a trial release with sub-sectoral indices and a 60-day lag.
Logistics Cass Report: Freight Volume Recovery On Track for Second Half of 2026
The Cass Freight Index multimodal shipments component fell just 1.2% year over year in May, the smallest decline in 18 months, signaling a volume recovery in the second half of 2026. Expenditures jumped 7.5% YoY and the TL linehaul index rose 6.9% YoY, the largest gain in nearly four years. Supply constraints from tighter enforcement of driver rules are pushing rates higher.
