Logistics ABL Wins Papua New Guinea FSO Support Contract for Santos Subsidiary
ABL, a marine and energy consultancy, has won a contract from Santos subsidiary Oil Search Limited to provide marine warranty survey services for a new FSO facility in Papua New Guinea. The FSO, the country's first offshore floating facility, will be deployed at the Kumul Marine Terminal as part of the Kutubu Pipeline System. ABL's scope covers equipment supply and installation across India, Indonesia, the UK, and Papua New Guinea, with work expected to run through 2028.
Commodities DOF Secures TotalEnergies FSO Replacement Contract for Nigerian Crude Storage Vessel
Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has won a contract from TotalEnergies for the subsea construction, mooring, disconnection of an existing FSO, and connection of a replacement unit for the FSO Unity. The contract, valued in the $50-100M range, involves four vessels and approximately 330 vessel-days, with offshore execution planned for Q4 2027 and Q1 2028. The FSO Unity stores up to 2.4 million barrels of crude oil from multiple Nigerian offshore fields.
Logistics SBM Offshore Sells Stake in Trion Field FSO to NYK
SBM Offshore has sold a 45% stake in the Trion field FSO to NYK, retaining a 55% majority. The FSO Chalchi, under construction, will operate under a 20-year lease with Woodside Energy.
