GeM becomes cornerstone of India’s digital governance: CEO Mihir Kumar
Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has achieved cumulative Gross Merchandise Value of over 20 lakh crore rupees in ten years, growing from 422 crore rupees in 2016-17, according to CEO Mihir Kumar. An IIT Delhi study found GeM prices lower on 74% of items than Amazon, Flipkart and India Mart, while seller and MSME registrations grew dramatically.
