Logistics DOT grants $25 million to transform Indiana's Jeffersonville port with major expansion
The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a $25 million BUILD grant to Ports of Indiana to support a $32 million expansion of the Jeffersonville port. The project will more than double the general cargo footprint, increase lift capacity from 35 to 300 tons, and add new crane, dock, and warehouse infrastructure. Completion is expected in 2028.
