Hirschbach rolls out Augment-built AI agent Augie for driver check-ins

Hirschbach Motor Lines is using an AI agent called Augie, built by Augment, to automate outbound driver communication across its brokerage operations. The agent handles roughly 40% of the carrier's track-and-trace volume and automates over 300 pickup and delivery check-ins per week, according to FreightWaves. The rollout follows about a year and a half of vendor evaluation and a deliberate buy-over-build decision led by CTO Ivan Ramirez.
