Truck Weigh Stations Become Front Line in Immigration, CDL Enforcement Push
Federal immigration agents are now working alongside state troopers at commercial truck weigh stations across the U.S. to identify drivers with improperly issued commercial driver's licenses, according to U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan. More than 28,000 non-domiciled CDLs have been revoked, and DHS is coordinating with DOT and states. A recent Arizona stop highlighted severe safety violations, including a driver without a CDL or medical certificate and inoperable trailer brakes.
