SEZ Reforms Panel to Discuss FTA Impact, Import Substitution, Rupee Payments on June 30

A 17-member panel chaired by a senior commerce department official will meet on June 30 to deliberate SEZ reforms, including allowing duty-foregone sales to the Domestic Tariff Area, rupee-denominated payments for services, and enabling job work without export linkage. The committee, set up after the Budget 2026-27 announcement, will also seek industry inputs on reverse job work payment preferences in foreign exchange or rupees.
