Government Notifies Operational Framework for Inventory-Based Cross-Border E-Commerce Exports

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified operational procedures for inventory-based cross-border e-commerce exports with immediate effect. The framework covers exporter-of-record registration, inventory management, seller visibility, reverse logistics, compliance certification and dispute resolution, following the government's move to allow foreign-invested e-commerce firms to keep export-only inventory.
