Union Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced two electronics manufacturing projects totaling Rs 6,750 crore in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, which are expected to generate 3,000 jobs. The projects focus on advanced multi-layer PCBs and HVAC components, aiming to transform Jewar into a 'Silicon Valley of North India' and reduce India's dependence on imported PCBs worth Rs 40,000 crore annually.
