Range Rover GT Electric Grand Tourer to Be Built at Halewood – JLR Manufacturing Strategy Detailed

Range Rover has confirmed the all-new Range Rover GT, an electric grand tourer built on the EMA platform at its Halewood plant in the UK, launching in 2027. The model shares architecture with upcoming Evoque EV and other midsized JLR vehicles, while Jaguar's Type 01 uses a different platform built in Solihull. The move raises questions about intra-brand competition and manufacturing flexibility.
