Veritas Shipmanagement has ordered two 64,000 dwt ultramax bulk carriers at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry in Zhoushan, with delivery scheduled for 2030. The order extends a relationship that began in 2023 with four 63,600 dwt vessels. No contract price has been disclosed; Xclusiv assesses standard Chinese-built ultramax newbuildings at around $36m each.
Logistics Shanghai-listed Ningbo Marine approves five-ship bulker newbuilding programme
Ningbo Marine has approved five bulk carrier newbuildings in China, adding 342,000 dwt to its orderbook. The programme spans four 65,000 dwt domestic-market ships and one 82,000 dwt kamsarmax for international trades. The expansion builds on a 2024 order for four ultramaxes and lifts the company's newbuild pipeline to nine vessels and 598,000 dwt.
Logistics Vantris Energy boosts orderbook with $202.78m offshore contract haul
Vantris Energy, formerly Sapura Energy, has secured contracts worth about RM830m ($202.78m) for offshore transportation and installation works and tender-assisted drilling rig services, according to Splash247. The awards include a work order from Petronas Carigali and a new drilling contract from Vestigo Petroleum, lifting the company's orderbook to more than RM6bn ($1.47bn).

Athens-based Erasmus Shipinvest has signed a contract with CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for two firm 1,900 teu feeder containerships, with options for two more. The order is the third newbuilding deal between Erasmus and the yard this year, adding to the 30 vessels already delivered and 44 on order from the Swan feeder design series. Financial terms and delivery dates have not been disclosed.
