China Launches First Zero-Carbon Sea-River Electric Container Route Linking Jiaxing and Ningbo-Zhoushan
China has launched its first sea-river intermodal zero-carbon shipping route, using the 10,000-ton pure electric containership Ningyuan Dianpeng. The service links Jiaxing port to Ningbo-Zhoushan, saving 800 tonnes of fuel and cutting over 2,000 tonnes of CO2 annually per vessel.
