Logistics Seacon Adds $66m Bulker Pair at Tsuneishi Zhoushan for 2028 and 2030 Delivery
Hong Kong-listed Seacon Shipping has ordered two handysize bulk carriers at Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding for a total of $66m, with deliveries in 2028 and 2030. The newbuilds add to Seacon's extensive pipeline of 44 vessels under construction at the end of 2025. Meanwhile, Seacon agreed to sell the 2023-built bulker Seacon Tokyo for $41.6m, generating a gain of about $9.86m.
Seacon Shipping Acquires Two Chemical Tanker Newbuilds for $39.2 Million
Seacon Shipping, through its Singapore subsidiary, has agreed to buy two 2026-built chemical/oil tanker newbuilds from Oriental Prime Shipping for $39.2 million. The vessels, Golden Gerbera and Golden Osmanthus, cost $19.6 million each and will be funded via internal resources and external financing. The acquisition supports Seacon's strategy to phase out older vessels and expand its controlled fleet.
