BPCL: No discounts on Russian crude for September cargoes amid Houthi threats
Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) reported that traders have stopped offering discounts on Russian crude for September 2026 delivery, as Houthi threats in the Bab al-Mandab Strait push Brent crude past $100 per barrel. The company has secured July/August supplies and booked some September cargoes, but faces uncertainty on future discounts. BPCL also posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,873 crore in Q1 FY27, citing stable retail fuel prices and LPG under-recoveries.
