Logistics Solstad Offshore Wins $62m Petrobras CSV Contract Offshore Brazil
Solstad Offshore has won a two-year, $62m contract from Petrobras for the construction support vessel Normand Valiant, starting in Q4 2026. The vessel will provide accommodation services on the Brazilian continental shelf. The Normand Valiant is owned by Solstad Maritime and chartered to Solstad Offshore under a bareboat arrangement.
Logistics Solstad Maritime lands long-term CSV contract in West Africa for Normand Cutter
Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Maritime has signed a letter of intent with an unnamed client for its construction support vessel Normand Cutter. The three-year firm contract plus three years of options will support subsea operations in West Africa, with two work-class ROVs supplied with Omega Subsea's support. The vessel features a 300-tonne active heave-compensated crane and a 1,600 sq m working deck.
Logistics Ocean Installer Extends Solstad Maritime CSV Charter Through 2028 with Options to 2031
Ocean Installer, a Moreld subsidiary, has exercised an option to extend the charter of Solstad Maritime's construction support vessel Normand Vision through end of 2028, with additional annual options for 2029 and 2030 that could extend the contract until 2031.
Logistics SBM Offshore and Solstad Select CIMC Raffles for Newbuild DP2 Installation Vessel
SBM Offshore and Solstad Offshore have chosen CIMC Raffles' Haiyang base in Shandong, China, to build a multi-purpose deepwater installation vessel. The 132.6m DP2 vessel, equipped with a 500-tonne crane and methanol-ready design, is set for delivery in first half 2029. Solstad Shipping will manage the vessel, with SBM chartering it for its FPSO projects and third-party charters available.
