Trade India-EFTA Trade Pact Implementation on Agenda as Piyush Goyal Heads to Switzerland
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Berne, Switzerland on June 12 to discuss implementation issues of the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), which took effect in October 2025. EFTA members have committed to invest $100 billion in India over 15 years and create 1 million direct jobs. The visit comes as India pursues a broader strategy of free trade agreements with developed economies to support its $30 trillion economic vision by 2047.
