Logistics US Ends Extra Security Measures on Ships Calling Nigeria
The US Coast Guard removed Nigeria from its Port Security Advisory, ending 12 years of additional security requirements for ships trading from Nigerian ports to the US. The change takes effect August 19, 2026, following four US Coast Guard assessments that showed improved ISPS Code implementation.
