Velesto secures offshore drilling contract in Thailand

Executive Summary

A subsidiary of Malaysia’s Velesto Energy has won a contract for one of its jackup rigs and drilling rig services from Northern Gulf Petroleum. Velesto Sumber secured a contract award to provide the Naga 6 jackup for a drilling campaign in the Gulf of Thailand. The firm work scope comprises four infill wells and three exploration wells. Naga 6 is a premium independent leg jack-up drilling rig with drilling depth capability of 30,000 feet and has a rated operating water depth of 375 feet.
