British MP Bob Blackman Urges Building on India-UK FTA Gains, Warns Against EU Trade Dilution

British Conservative MP Bob Blackman praised the India-UK FTA as a positive development after 15 rounds of talks, but warned that future UK-EU trade arrangements could countermand the advantages. Government sources confirmed the India-UK Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) is the most aspirational agreement, opening a market worth over USD 500 billion for Indian businesses, with over 99% of India's tariff lines and trade moving to zero duty.
