TechRadar Verdict I want to love the Scuf Omega, and it gets a lot of things right. It’s comfortable in the hands and has some fantastic-feeling buttons, and the two-way trigger switch allows for some of the most immediate, satisfying digital trigger presses I’ve ever tested. You’re getting plenty of customizability here, too, from its myriad side buttons and rear paddles to swappable parts. It just doesn’t stack up to other premium PS5-facing controllers in terms of build quality, and some of those extra buttons are placed so obnoxiously that you’ll likely be reaching for the included blanks in no time at all. It’s received the PlayStation seal of approval as an officially-licensed product, so you’d expect it to be of at least a reasonably high quality, right? Here’s the thing. Supply chain shortages and general inflation, which affects nearly everything we buy, have caused prices to rise. Then comes along the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x, an unsuspecting laptop that masterfully balances its features, price, and quality. If this laptop were $400 more, I'd still say it's a decent deal. At $850, it's a straight-up MacBook Air killer and one of the best laptops you can buy. Everything You Need The look of this laptop isn't necessarily unique. A basic silver chassis with some of the Lenovo-isms we've come to expect, including the reverse notch on the lid that houses the webcam. But the screen size is really interesting. It's a 15.3-inch screen, which slots in between the typical 14- and 16-inch display options on Windows laptops. But it's the perfect antidote to the 15-inch MacBook Air, a laptop that's $400 more expensive. That's despite coming with the same 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. This is why people should buy a cheap phone with stock android on which zero private data is stored and that is never used for anything other than those verification things or government apps that might be or become mandatory. What i mean is, use your graphene phone for everything, but don't use it to legitimate yourself. Take an old phone or cheap one and put nothing on it, no contacts, no email (maybe one exclusively used for this phone without any private conversation on it), no apps like messengers and so on. A phone that is only used like a passport, to legitimate yourself and or use government apps you are forced to use. And of course think twice if a stupid game console is worth it to verify yourself to whomever. People need to make mature decisions. If a company wants you to do something you don't want to do, then don't buy their products. I mean, whether it's gaming, video streaming or adult entertainment, is this really something that stands above your privacy and dignity? If they want you to identify to use it, look for new hobbies instead.

WhatsApp says spyware maker NSO Group is still targeting its users Meta asked a federal court to hold the Israeli company in contempt. Meta is once again asking a court to intervene in its long-running battle against spyware maker NSO Group. The company says it's disrupted a spearfishing attempt that targeted WhatsApp users and is now asking a federal court to hold NSO in contempt. Meta's battle with the company behind the infamous Pegasus spyware dates back to 2019, when it sued the "cyber intelligence" firm for targeting human rights activists, journalists, political dissidents and others. A jury last year awarded Meta $167 million in damages, which was later reduced by a judge to $4 million. That judgment also came with a permanent injunction that banned NSO from targeting WhatsApp and its users. Less than a year later, Meta says it's caught NSO violating the terms of that order. According to the company, it caught a cluster of NSO-linked accounts that were attempting to trick WhatsApp users into clicking on malicious links that were similar to other phishing campaigns that have been tied to the spyware maker. According to a Meta spokesperson, the latest phishing campaign targeted fewer than 10 WhatsApp users who were "primarily" in Jordan and Lebanon. "We have not seen signs of compromise among identified targets," the spokesperson said. In its disclosure, Meta shared the domains it identified that were associated with the phishing campaign so that others can check if they have been targeted on WhatsApp or another platform. We've reached out to NSO Group for comment and will update if we hear back.

The app is open source, available for Android and macOS, and called Noop (via Android Central). You do need to do a little bit of work to get it set up (it needs to be sideloaded on Android), but instructions are provided on the GitHub page. It should work with the Whoop 4.0, Whoop 5.0, and the Whoop MG bands. "I built it for one reason," the app creator Kabir Khalil said in a post on Reddit. "To read my own data, off a strap I own, on a machine I control, without it living in someone else's cloud. That's the whole idea." As Whoop's own algorithms aren't available to the developer, Khalil says he's used "my own maths" based on "published methods" to come up with fitness scores and data interpretations from the raw figures that are grabbed from the tracker device. Sigma has a long history of releasing, let's call them, eccentric cameras. Last year, the brand put out the BF, which continues in that tradition. Because it is very different, lacking features like a mechanical shutter, viewfinder, and storage-card slot, among others, I wanted to spend some extra time with it before passing judgment. After using it for months, I've decided that the Sigma BF is the perfect camera for people who love using cameras more than they enjoy taking photographs. I don't mean that as a slight necessarily—I think it's fine to love the tool without paying mind to the fruits of its labor. I have an entire collection of antique hand planes I very rarely use, but they look really nice on display. I get it. This design approach does have consequences though, and one big one is that the Sigma BF can be frustrating when you're trying to actually take pictures. Beautiful Foolishness The Sigma BF takes its name from the phrase “beautiful foolishness,” which Sigma pulled from a poem in The Book of Tea. I mention this because its name neatly sets the stage for what the Sigma BF aims to accomplish. The camera is not trying to compete with high-end, full-frame cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, or any other legacy maker. Screens are a colossal 59 by 79 feet and relatively square (1.43 to 1) to fill your field of vision. The 15-perf 70mm (15/70 IMAX) film runs horizontally through the projector, allowing for massive a 70mm x 48.5mm frame size. That's almost nine times the area of regular 35mm movie film, equivalent to around 16K to 18K digitally, providing a hyper-real and immersive experience. Freight broker Fura announced Monday that it has acquired LG Logistics Solutions. This marked the sixth acquisition for the Cincinnati-based AI-powered 3PL. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “Freight brokerage is one of the largest and most fragmented service industries in the country — thousands of small brokers running on manual processes and heavy overhead,” stated a news release from Fura. “Fura’s view is that AI fundamentally changes the math of consolidation: rather than simply stacking acquired businesses on top of each other and inheriting their costs, Fura migrates each acquired brokerage onto a shared automation platform that runs the repetitive work, so every business it acquires gets leaner and more capable than it was standalone.” LG Logistics Solutions specializes in full-truckload, less-than-truckload and intermodal shipping. The company will gain access to Fura’s platform and AI agents, allowing it to grow its book of business without adding incremental costs. Major P2P issues in Israel and possibly other middle east countries #398 Description I am not sure i am in the right place but we are all out of options here since we couldn't get any help from the game or steam support. Since around the 13/03, there is a major systemic problem in every game that uses Steam Networking for P2P games. For example, in the game Street Fighter 6, when playing with one Israeli or another with PC to PC the ping between players are ~120ms. when playing with European players the ping is around 60-80ms which means it works well, it currently affects only Israeli players when playing PC to PC. Since Street Fighter 6 supports cross-play we have tried playing PC to PS5 and the ping is a flawless 5-10ms. It currently affects all players in Israel, we have a few dozens in our community with several ISPs, we have of course attempted speaking to our ISPs and port forwarding and we have found no network issues on their part. in other P2P games that don't use steam networking the issue is not existent(for example, Tekken 8). We are currently don't know what we can do with this issue since nothing we have done have helped and 120ms is too high for it to be playable in any P2P game. While I can't confirm but heard reports from players in other middle eastern countries like Egypt that they also report on this issue so it could be region-wide.

The Foundation for Information Policy Research (FIPR) warned that many of the proposed solutions for age verification will exacerbate the harms they are trying to prevent, and could expose children to risks of blackmail and abuse. The warning follows comments from technology secretary Liz Kendall that “drastic” action was needed to protect young people from social media, with nine out of 10 parents saying they are in favour of a ban in response to a government consultation. FIPR said in evidence to the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology that mandatory age verification does not address harmful content on social media and could lead to many adults in the UK being excluded from digital services. “While it is tempting to rely on ‘magic’ technological fixes for online harm, these will not work, will concentrate even more power in the hands of large tech platforms, and will risk letting them off the hook for the wider social harms to which they contribute,” said Ben Collier, FIPR chair and senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. It was no longer acceptable, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez told an audience at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, to leave children unattended in the “digital Wild West,” which he described as rife with “addiction, abuse, pornography, manipulation [and] violence.” Sánchez was clear on another point.
