DK Vertex Invests ₹70 Cr to Launch 7 Co-working Centres Across Three Cities

Co-working firm DK Vertex has invested approximately ₹70 crore to set up seven centres comprising 10,000 desks in Gurugram, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, according to a PTI report. The investment signals a strategic push into managed workspaces as demand for flexible office solutions accelerates in India’s top commercial real estate markets.

Investment at a Glance

On Tuesday, the company launched one centre in Gurugram with 700 desks, sub-leasing these seats at ₹14,000–18,000 per desk. Across all seven centres, the price range for desks is ₹6,000 to ₹18,000 per desk, catering to a broad spectrum of enterprise and SME clients.

Metric Value
Total Investment ₹70 crore
Total Centres 7 (5 Gurugram, 1 Mumbai, 1 Bengaluru)
Total Desks 10,000
Operational Desks 6,000 (75% occupied)
Desks Coming Online (next 2 months) 4,000 (built-to-suit)
Price Range per Desk ₹6,000 – ₹18,000

"We have invested ₹70 crore to establish seven co-working centres. Out of these four centres have become operational," said Gagan Arora, Founder & President of Vertex Group, of which DK Vertex is a part. He noted that one centre is company-owned while six are taken on lease from property owners.

Centre Distribution and Occupancy

Of the seven centres, five facilities are in Gurugram, while one each is in Mumbai and Bengaluru, Arora detailed. Currently, 6,000 seats are operational and 75% are occupied, reflecting strong uptake. An additional 4,000 built-to-suit seats are slated to come online in the next two months, suggesting rapid scaling to meet enterprise demand.

Value-Added Services

Beyond workstations, DK Vertex provides a suite of value-added services to tenants, including IT support, InfoSec, payroll management, hiring, analytics, account management, concierge services, and a business networking marketplace. The company also offers integrated podcast and content studios as well as advertisement shoot spaces, differentiating its offering from traditional co-working operators.

Market Context

The expansion aligns with broader trends in India’s flex-space market. According to a report by Cushman & Wakefield, flexible workspace operators accounted for an 18% share in total gross leasing of 21.89 million sq ft during the January-March 2026 period across eight major cities. This underscores growing corporate preference for managed, scalable office solutions over conventional leases.

Future Expansion

Arora indicated that the company plans to open more centres across tier I and tier II cities to address the rising demand for flexible workstations. While specific cities were not disclosed, the move signals DK Vertex’s intent to deepen its footprint beyond the three metros currently served.
