GVK Group Enters Fertility Care with Oval Fertility Launch

In a strategic expansion into the healthcare sector, GVK Group has launched Oval Fertility, marking its entry into the fertility care market. The venture, co-founded by Veena Reddy and Dr. Brian Levine, is backed by the GVK family office and aims to cater to the increasing demand for fertility services in India.

Strategic Expansion

The flagship clinic, located in Hyderabad, spans 17,000 sq ft and is designed to support 100-150 fertility cycles per month. The facility includes six embryology workstations, seven suites, and five recovery rooms. Veena Reddy stated that the plan is to expand using a hub-and-spoke model, initially focusing on Hyderabad before moving to other urban centers across India.

Advanced Technology Integration

Oval Fertility introduces the Astec Chronos embryo incubation system to India, enhancing the clinic's capabilities by closely mimicking natural embryo development conditions. This technology allows continuous monitoring, enabling embryologists to make more informed clinical decisions.

"The future of fertility care will be shaped by how effectively we combine science, technology, and personalized patient experience," said Dr. Brian Levine, founding medical advisor at Oval Fertility.

Market Context and Demand

The venture aims to address the growing demand for fertility care driven by factors such as delayed parenthood, lifestyle changes, and increased awareness of reproductive health. The on-site team comprises three fertility specialists, three embryologists, and specialized clinical teams.

Future Plans

The company plans to bridge transparency gaps in fertility treatment by combining advanced laboratory systems with patient-centered care pathways. The expansion strategy includes opening smaller clinics in a hub-and-spoke model to reach more patients efficiently.
