Hindustan Zinc Partners with Sulfozyme Agro for Sustainable Metal Recovery

Hindustan Zinc, a leading global zinc producer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Sulfozyme Agro India to advance sustainable metal recovery. This collaboration, under the Zinc Industrial Park initiative, aims to process zinc-based materials into value-added products, enhancing industrial and downstream applications.

Partnership Details

The agreement involves Sulfozyme Agro setting up operations at the Zinc Industrial Park, a dedicated hub for downstream manufacturing. Hindustan Zinc will provide assured raw material linkage and long-term ecosystem support, facilitating efficient operations and scalable manufacturing within the park's industrial network. This initiative aligns with Hindustan Zinc's vision to strengthen the MSME ecosystem and promote local entrepreneurship in Rajasthan.

Strategic Goals

According to Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, the partnership reflects the company's commitment to the circular economy and downstream value creation. The collaboration aims to accelerate industrial growth and position Rajasthan as a leading destination for zinc-based industries and advanced manufacturing.

Industrial and Economic Impact

The Zinc Industrial Park, developed in collaboration with RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation), integrates raw material availability with value-added zinc production. This initiative is expected to create opportunities for downstream industries and support the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Future Outlook

The partnership between Hindustan Zinc and Sulfozyme Agro is a significant step towards sustainable industrial practices. By fostering a circular economy and supporting MSME development, the initiative is poised to enhance Rajasthan's industrial landscape and contribute to the state's economic growth. The collaboration also underscores the importance of sustainable practices in the metals and mining sector, setting a precedent for future industry partnerships.
