Our investment in Lohum reflects our conviction in businesses that are building strategic infrastructure for the future economy with the potential to create enduring long-term value for our investors."

Lohum's Strategic Positioning

Founded in 2018, Lohum positions itself at the intersection of the global energy transition and India's China+1 opportunity. The company is well placed to benefit from accelerating EV adoption and growing demand for resilient supply chains. Lohum is expanding into next-generation advanced materials, including platinum group metals, NMC Cathode Active Materials (CAM), and rare earth magnets, as per the statement.

For finance executives and trade finance professionals, this investment underscores the mounting strategic importance of securing critical mineral supply chains outside China. The focus on battery recycling and raw material recovery addresses both environmental concerns and supply chain resilience—key factors in trade finance cost of capital and country creditworthiness. As companies seek to de-risk their sourcing strategies, platforms like Lohum may play a pivotal role in reshaping global trade flows in energy transition materials.
