India's exports rise 15% in April-July; Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal confident of $1 trillion target

According to an Economic Times report dated August 12, 2026, India's exports grew by around 15 per cent during April-July in the current fiscal year, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said. The report quotes Goyal directly: "During the first four months of this fiscal, about 15 per cent growth is there in exports."

The report also cited trade data for the first quarter of the current financial year. During April to June, exports increased by 15.92 per cent and reached $129.32 billion, according to the Economic Times. Imports increased by 19.89 per cent and reached $216.18 billion, the report added.
