Omega Subsea Partners with AGR for North Sea Operations

Omega Subsea has entered into a long-term partnership with AGR to deliver offshore survey and ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) services using the Aquaman II and Ross Eagle vessels, supporting growing offshore activity across the North Sea.

Partnership Details

Under the agreement, Omega Subsea will deliver integrated ROV and survey capabilities onboard the 2005-built light construction AHTS Aquaman II, including a work-class ROV system, offshore personnel, operational technology, and subsea support equipment. Additionally, Omega Subsea will provide dedicated survey services onboard Ross Eagle as part of AGR’s expanding offshore operations.

Operational Impact

The collaboration positions Omega Subsea to support flexible and cost-efficient vessel-based subsea operations, including plug and abandonment, cable campaigns, inspection work, and decommissioning projects in an increasingly active offshore market. The agreement has been established on a long-term basis, with an initial two-year contract period plus extension options.

"Together with AGR, we are establishing a strong and flexible setup combining marine operations, ROV services, survey expertise, and offshore execution to support increasing demand in the North Sea market," said Trond Berge, CEO of Omega Subsea.

Strategic Advantages

During operations, the collaboration may also utilize Omega Subsea’s operational setup in Bergen, including logistics, warehousing, harbor access, and remote operational support through the company’s remote operations center. The center enables remote monitoring and operational support for offshore activities, providing real-time operational oversight, technical assistance, data handling, and communication between offshore crews and onshore support personnel.
