Dyson’s 2026 Vacuum Lineup: New Cordless Models Target Performance and Price

Dyson has released the remaining models of its 2026 vacuum lineup, adding three new cordless vacuums and a Submarine wet-dry variant, according to WIRED. The new models—the Dyson V16 Piston Animal, Dyson V10 Konical, and Dyson V8 Cyclone—expand the brand's cordless line to cover a wider price-performance spectrum.

Dyson V16 Piston Animal: Flagship Power

The Dyson V16 Piston Animal ($980) is the most powerful cordless vacuum Dyson has ever built, WIRED reported. It delivers 315 air-watts of suction driven by a new Dyson Hyperdymium 900-watt motor. A new cleaner head—the All Floor Cones Sense—uses conical brush bars and dynamically adjusts suction based on floor type. The model also includes a Fluffy Optic head for hard floors. A debris bin compresses dust to hold up to 30 days of dirt. Dyson has promised a self-emptying docking station for the V16, but it is not yet available.

A Submarine variant ($1,100) adds a wet roller head with hydration control technology for targeted water use and a boost mode for stains.

Dyson V10 Konical: First Self-Emptying Model

The Dyson V10 Konical ($500) is Dyson's first self-emptying vacuum, though the required auto-empty Dok ($150) will not ship until August, according to WIRED. It produces 150 air-watts of suction and includes only the standard All Floor Cones head—not the Sense version. Run time is 60 minutes with HEPA filtration.

Dyson V8 Cyclone: Affordable Update

The Dyson V8 Cyclone ($400) revamps the previous V8 with 30 percent more suction power and a full hour of run time. It matches the V10 Konical's 150 air-watts but switches to a button power control instead of a trigger. It comes with the older Motorbar Cleaner head (similar to the V15 Detect) and a crevice tool. The V8 Cyclone is also compatible with the same $150 auto-empty Dok arriving in August.

Comparison of New Dyson Cordless Vacuums

Model Price Suction (air-watts) Motor Key Feature Run Time Cleaner Head Self-Emptying Dock
V16 Piston Animal $980 315 Hyperdymium 900W Most powerful, 30-day debris compression Not specified All Floor Cones Sense + Fluffy Optic Coming soon
V16 Piston Animal Submarine $1,100 315 Hyperdymium 900W Wet-dry cleaning, hydration control Not specified All Floor Cones Sense + Submarine head Coming soon
V10 Konical $500 150 Not specified First self-emptying Dyson 60 min All Floor Cones $150, August
V8 Cyclone $400 150 Not specified 30% more suction, button power 60 min Motorbar Cleaner $150, August

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Context

For manufacturing executives and procurement professionals, Dyson’s 2026 lineup signals continued investment in high-performance motor technology (the 900-watt Hyperdymium) and sensor-driven cleaner heads that may require advanced component sourcing. The introduction of a self-emptying dock (the auto-empty Dok, $150) indicates Dyson is moving toward integrated accessories that could affect supplier relationships for docking station components. The Submarine model’s hydration control suggests new precision fluid-delivery components. Although no production volumes or factory locations were disclosed, the range expansion—from a $400 V8 to a $1,100 Submarine—points to a broad manufacturing strategy targeting multiple price tiers. The delay of the self-emptying dock until August may reflect supply chain or certification challenges.

Production Timeline

  • June 2026: Dyson V16 Piston Animal, V16 Piston Animal Submarine, V10 Konical, and V8 Cyclone are available for purchase immediately, according to WIRED.
  • August 2026: The auto-empty Dok ($150) will be available for the V10 Konical and V8 Cyclone.
  • Future: Self-emptying docking station for the V16 series promised but no date given.
