AI coding startup Lovable has signed an expanded multiyear collaboration with Google Cloud, according to an announcement on Wednesday. The deal will increase Lovable's footprint on Google Cloud by five times, including a significant boost in AI usage, a person with knowledge of the agreement told TechCrunch. While the dollar figure was not disclosed, the expansion positions Lovable as one of Google Cloud's key AI-native partners.
Deal Details
The multiyear agreement gives Lovable expanded access to both Anthropic's Claude — the AI model widely used for coding tasks — and Google's own Gemini models. The inclusion of Anthropic's technology is particularly notable given Google's $10 billion investment in Anthropic in April, with a promise of an additional $30 billion if performance targets are met, at a $350 billion valuation. Just one month later, Anthropic raised a $65 billion round valuing it at nearly $1 trillion. This deal could help Anthropic hit its targets, as Lovable is one of Europe's fastest-growing startups on record.
Lovable will also integrate with Wiz, Google's largest ever acquisition at $32 billion, which closed in March. The integration enables Wiz to identify and remediate security problems in real time for code written by both humans and AI agents.
AI Model Access and Enterprise Marketplace
Lovable's new agent will be available through Google Cloud's enterprise agent marketplace, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery. This arrangement was first telegraphed at Google's major U.S. cloud conference in April. By selling through Google's marketplace, enterprise procurement and billing are simplified, making it easier for Lovable to land larger enterprise customers, according to the cloud giant.
Growth Metrics and Enterprise Adoption
Lovable, a Stockholm-based vibe-coding startup, has experienced explosive growth. According to the company, it crossed $400 million in annualized revenue in February, having added $100 million in a single month with just 146 employees. The company claims that more than half of Fortune 500 companies use its product in some fashion.
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Annualized revenue (Feb 2026) | $400M |
| Revenue added in one month | $100M |
| Employees | 146 |
| Fortune 500 adoption | >50% |
| Cloud usage increase | 5x |
Strategic Implications for Google Cloud
For Google Cloud, the calculus is straightforward. Keeping both Lovable and Anthropic growing by attracting deep-pocketed enterprises helps fund the $180 billion to $190 billion in capital expenditures Google plans to spend this year. The company is already selling a record-breaking $85 billion in equity to cover part of that. The partnership also strengthens Google Cloud's position in the AI coding space, leveraging Lovable's rapid adoption among large enterprises.
For enterprise technology buyers evaluating AI coding platforms, the deal signals Google Cloud's commitment to integrating premium AI models through its marketplace, potentially simplifying procurement and security management. The integration with Wiz addresses a critical concern for enterprises: securing AI-generated code in real time.
