Himalaya Shipping switches two newcastlemax bulkers to fixed hire at $51,200 per day

Himalaya Shipping has switched two newcastlemax bulkers from index-linked charters to fixed-rate agreements averaging $51,200 per day for five months. The cover, running from August 1 to end-2026, is worth about $15.7m in gross hire, according to Splash247. The move follows earlier conversions of two ships at $38,700/day and four ships at $56,500/day.
