Business FPIs Invest ₹16,621 Crore in Indian Equities So Far in August
Foreign Portfolio Investors invested ₹16,621 crore in Indian equities during the first two weeks of August, extending the buying momentum from July. Stock exchange purchases contributed ₹11,199 crore, while primary market investments added ₹5,422 crore, according to News on AIR citing depository data. FPIs also invested ₹1,041 crore in debt securities through the General Limit and Fully Accessible routes.

Gold ETF outflows continued for the fifth consecutive week, led by US investors, according to the World Gold Council. Outflows reached $4.27 billion against $850.4 million in inflows, the highest weekly net exit this year. Year-to-date investments dropped to $11.87 billion.
