Kismet Kebabs Fined £500,000 for Selling Goat as Lamb in Doner Kebabs
Kismet Kebabs, one of the UK's largest doner kebab producers, was fined £500,000 after pleading guilty to fraud. DNA testing by trading standards officers revealed that lamb kebabs contained as little as 10% sheep, with goat, skin and fat substituted. The fraud has been compared to the 2013 horsemeat scandal.
