EGPN enters containership market with feeder order at Huangpu Wenchong for two 1,900 TEU vessels

Hong Kong-based owner EGPN has entered the container shipping newbuilding market with an order for two 1,900 TEU feeder vessels at CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, scheduled for delivery in 2029. The move adds another segment to EGPN's fleet expansion, which has already covered bulkers, product tankers, and chemical tankers. The yard's Swan design continues to attract newcomers and established operators alike.

Trio of owners emerge behind 13-ship Huangpu Wenchong boxship haul

CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has secured a 13-vessel containership order from three owners: Jiangsu Ocean Shipping (JOSCO), Global Ship Lease, and Peter Döhle. The vessels range from 5,300 TEU to 6,400 TEU, further strengthening the yard's position in the midsize boxship segment. The orders come amid a busy June for the yard, which has disclosed 17 firm containership orders this month.
