India-UK CETA takes effect: First zero-duty Indian coffee, jewellery consignments reach UK shores
The India-UK Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) took effect on July 15, 2026. The first zero-duty consignments of Indian coffee and jewellery have already arrived in the UK, displayed at a celebratory event at the High Commission of India in London. The agreement covers 99% of India's export tariff lines to the UK, with long-term bilateral trade expected to increase by £25.5 billion annually.
