Punjab National Bank Q1 net profit surges 213% to Rs 5,253 crore on lower tax outgo

Punjab National Bank (PNB) posted a standalone net profit of Rs 5,253 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a 213.6% jump from Rs 1,675 crore a year earlier. The surge was aided by a steep 66.1% decline in tax outgo, even as non-interest income fell 17.7%. Asset quality improved with gross NPA ratio falling to 2.78% from 3.78%.

OOCL Q2 Revenue Surges 19.8% on Robust Trans-Pacific Volumes and Pricing

Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) reported a strong turnaround in Q2 2026, with revenue rising 19.8% year-over-year to $2.537 billion. The trans-Pacific trade lane led growth with volumes up 21.5% and revenue up 29.3%. First-half revenue grew 5.5% to $4.675 billion.
