Laredo imposes up to $2,000 fines on low-balance truck toll accounts at border bridges

The City of Laredo Bridge System has begun enforcing a revised TradeTag policy that fines commercial carriers up to $2,000 for insufficient toll balances at the World Trade Bridge and Colombia-Solidarity Bridge. The change replaces a slower U-turn requirement and adds escalating penalties plus mandatory credit card and auto-replenishment for the 4,574 active commercial accounts.
