Goldenport doubles ultramax newbuild order at Nantong Xiangyu to four ships

Greek owner Goldenport Shipmanagement has doubled its ultramax newbuilding programme at China's Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, adding two 63,500 dwt bulkers for 2029 delivery. The four-ship programme would be worth about $140m if the latest pair repeats the reported $35m price of the June order. Goldenport also has three 1,800 teu feeder containerships on order at China Merchants' Qingshan Shipyard for 2027-2028 delivery.
