Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd, one of the world's largest producers of aluminium, has taken its flagship digital e-commerce platform, Vedanta Metal Bazaar (VMB), global. International customers can now directly order and buy premium aluminium products online, making VMB one of the first Indian digital aluminium marketplaces to expand into global trade, according to a company statement. The platform is now available across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, and in the 2025-26 fiscal year it processed transactions worth nearly $4.1 billion (over ₹38,000 crore).
Global expansion across four continents
The launch was marked by a dedicated global customer webinar attended by over 600 participants from international markets, the company said. Vedanta Aluminium said the expansion opens new global trade corridors by extending its proven digital model to international buyers. The company statement said:
The expansion will enable overseas enterprises and SMEs to access the same transparent, efficient and seamless buying experience that has driven strong adoption among Indian manufacturers.
The company said the 24x7 digital platform will reduce supply chain complexity through automated workflows, bringing B2C ease to global B2B procurement.
FY25-26 transaction scale and adoption
In the 2025-26 fiscal year, VMB processed transactions worth nearly $4.1 billion (over ₹38,000 crore) and completed over 23,000 orders, the company said. The platform has tasted success in the Indian market, according to the company. Alongside large original equipment manufacturers, over 550 MSMEs regularly use VMB for their aluminium requirements.

VMB operates as a 24x7 digital platform designed to reduce supply chain complexity through automated workflows, bringing B2C ease to global B2B procurement, according to Vedanta Aluminium. Features include:

The company said upcoming features will provide one-click access to critical export documentation, such as Bills of Lading and packing lists, and integrated AI-driven virtual assistants for instant customer support.
