Relay Payments Partners with Platform Science for Enhanced Payment Solutions

Relay Payments has announced a strategic partnership with Platform Science, aiming to streamline payment processes for truck drivers. This collaboration allows drivers to use Platform Science's technology to make payments for fuel and other services directly from their in-cab devices.

Integration Details

The integration between Relay Payments and Platform Science enables truck drivers to use their in-cab devices to access the Relay Payments app. Emily Neuman, executive vice president at Relay, highlighted that this setup eliminates the need for drivers to use personal mobile phones, as the app can be accessed through Platform Science's single sign-on feature.

  • Relay Code: A digital code system that replaces traditional card swipes, reducing fraud risks.
  • Relay Pulse: An anti-fraud feature that uses real-time data to verify transactions and prevent first-party fraud.

Anti-Fraud Measures

The partnership focuses on enhancing security through the Relay Code and Relay Pulse features. These tools are designed to combat both first-party and third-party fraud by using real-time data from Platform Science to verify transactions. Ryan Droege, CEO of Relay Payments, emphasized the importance of reducing friction and increasing security for fleet operations.

"Relay is focused on removing friction from the driver experience while giving fleets greater visibility and control over their operations," said Ryan Droege.

Market Expansion

The partnership with Platform Science is part of Relay Payments' strategy to expand its merchant network and integrate with more TMS and ELD systems. This move aims to cater to fleets of all sizes, enhancing the payment experience for over 400 drivers at companies like Cheema Freightlines LLC.
