French offshore vessel owner Bourbon has appointed Olivier Blaringhem as its new CEO, effective September 14. Blaringhem, who brings over 25 years of experience from Subsea7, will succeed Gaël Bodénès.

Leadership Transition

Blaringhem's appointment marks a strategic move for Bourbon as it continues its growth trajectory. His extensive experience in offshore services and engineering, particularly in regions like Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, is expected to bolster Bourbon's market position.

"Olivier’s international experience and profound knowledge of offshore services will be decisive assets as we grow our business," said Bruno Chabas, Bourbon's Board Chairman.

Strategic Growth

Bourbon is focusing on expanding its operations in active offshore regions such as West Africa and Guyana. The company recently added 13 offshore support vessels valued at over $180 million, enhancing its fleet capabilities.
