Executive Summary

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), Delfin Midstream, Vitol, and a group of investors have reached a final investment decision for an offshore FLNG project in the US. Delfin FLNG 1 will be the first FLNG in the United States and the largest of its kind globally. The project will have an annual LNG nameplate production capacity of 4.4m tonnes and is expected to begin production in 2030. Hanwha Ocean has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Kanata Clean Power & Climate Technologies for the proposed Kanata FLNG project in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The floating LNG export project is expected to have a capacity of up to 12 million tonnes per year with an estimated capital expenditure of about $15.7 billion.
